Two excellent pavement marking resources:
Vermont DOT did a study of different types of pavement markings and how they performed
https://vtrans.vermont.gov/sites/aot/files/planning/documents/research/publishedreports/2018-05_LiquidMarkings.pdfIDOT has an excellent manual that reviews their pavement marking requirements, including maintenance. The manual was originally published in 2015, I’m not sure if it was ever updated, but it is a great resource:
IDOT also provided an online seminar on the Manual which is very informative
