I find it interesting, as I see more and more of my “everyday carry” items being referred to as “retro,” “vintage” or “classic.” Am I really getting that old…?
I started using the Niji 350 mechanical pencils while I was at Michigan State. My first ones were purchased at SBS-The Student Bookstore on Grand River Avenue in 1989. They always felt good in my hand. I had a couple split at the treads on me: I was so mortified (and also on a college budget…) that I figured out how to Crazy Glue them back to full function without binding the knock. Great memories…
