Thanks to the great fall weather this year, the Joliet Junior College AEC 125 construction layout crews were able to get plenty of hands-on work done around campus.
We put the #Leica levels & total stations to work, running level loops & traverses, measuring vertical elements, turning 90’s and laying out lines.
Sure, GPS units and RTK-enabled drones are making our work easier, but basic surveying tools & skills are foundational and never go out of style.
Basics for the win!!
